The agreement between you and Makeable, written to be read rather than skipped.

Makeable is operated by Lyannard Lie ("Makeable", "we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you are signing up on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business; if you are signing up as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

Makeable is a production planning tool. You enter materials, recipes, products and orders; Makeable calculates how many units you can make, what is limiting you, and what you are short of. It is decision support, not a guarantee, you remain responsible for your own production decisions.
We work to keep Makeable available and accurate, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
You must not use Makeable unlawfully; commit fraud or send spam through it; infringe anyone's intellectual property; upload malware; probe, scan or interfere with its security; scrape it in bulk; reverse engineer it; resell or redistribute it; or circumvent technical limits including plan quotas and rate limits.
You keep 100% ownership of the intellectual property in your recipes, formulas, bills of materials, supplier names, production methods, orders and uploads. You grant us only a limited licence to host and process them to provide the service to you.
We do not sell, license or share your recipes or formulas, and we do not use them to train public or foundational artificial intelligence models.
Makeable itself (the software, interface, documentation and branding) remains our intellectual property. Your plan grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it.
Makeable is an internal workflow and planning tool. It is NOT certified regulatory compliance software and does not check whether your goods are safe or legal to sell.
We accept no responsibility for compliance with food safety rules (including FDA rules and cottage food laws), batch safety testing, allergen labelling or cross-contamination, cosmetic safety assessments (including IFRA limits and EU or UK cosmetic regulations), fire safety of candles, or any other product liability.
You, as the maker, take full legal responsibility for the physical safety, labelling and legal compliance of any goods you make, whether or not you used Makeable records to make them.
Calculators, batch limits, costs and margins shown by Makeable are mathematical estimates based on the numbers you enter. They are not certified accounting, financial, pricing or tax advice. You are solely responsible for your prices, profitability and for checking calculations before committing money.
Makeable offers a free plan with usage limits and paid plans billed monthly or yearly. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled.
Cancel in one click from Plan & billing in your dashboard, at any time, without contacting support. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for and you will not be charged again.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payment processing, VAT and sales tax, invoicing, customer service inquiries and returns.
Payment, billing and tax mechanics are also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Refunds are available within 30 days of payment, see our refund policy.
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where reasonable we will warn you first.
You may close your account at any time. On termination you can export your data; after 30 days your workspace is permanently deleted.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, SPOILED OR WASTED INVENTORY, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR LOSS OF GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO THE LOWER OF (A) THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU ACTUALLY PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 100.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Makeable, its operator and affiliates from any third-party claims, losses, damages, fines and legal costs arising from: the products you make or sell (including bodily injury, property damage, candle fires, foodborne illness or allergic reactions); your content; your unlawful use of the service; or your breach of these terms.
Shopify, Square, WooCommerce, Etsy and Craftybase are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Use of these names, logos or brand assets does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship from them.
Before starting any legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at makeableapp@gmail.com and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
If it is not resolved, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any dispute will be settled by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court or seek urgent injunctive relief.
YOU AND MAKEABLE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at Lyannard Lie's place of registration. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights you have under the law where you live. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
